You just never know---

Who'll use "Tales of the Road-Highway 61" or where they'll be!

Thanks to Stuart and Lisa for taking the book with them and exploring the Hovland Dock which is just off Highway 61 a few miles up the road from Grand Marais, Mn!
It would be fun to see other photos of the book being used on the road. Send 'em in! We'll post them!

2010 has gotten off to a quiet start. I'll be sitting down and doing some research this week.
I've posted an inquiry on the Facebook page for Bloedow's Bakery in Winona. ("Doughnuts of the God's" is their tag-line. Kind of makes you want to buy some and see just how good they are. ) Check out the Facebook group site for TOTR and either leave suggestions there for story ideas or send me an e-mail!

Take care!

Hi Cathy!

Hovland picture taker Lisa here. Just talking about your book with a friend who's headed to Winona. We checked out your blog and NOT ONLY do we find Stuart there, but a Winona bakery recommendation too! Kudos again for this gift of your work - and joy - that keeps on giving!

Hi Lisa!

I thought the photo of Stuart with the book by the Hovland Dock was classic and had to publish it. Maybe we should start kind of a Flat Stanley sort of thing were people take photos of the book along the highway?! :)

As for the Winona bakery, Bloedows is GREAT! I had a chocolate covered doughnut that was to die for! There was a line out the door and it was cold outside but people didn't care. They were there for the treats and I'm telling you, it was worth it!

Happy Travels!
